Dosthill Quarry at Tamworth near Birmingham, is probably the oldest National Inland Dive Site in the UK, having been dived continuously since 1958. Previously owned by the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC), it was sold by them to the current owner, Ian Forster, in 1988, who has developed a range of ancillary facilities.

It’s a great place to learn to dive with underwater platforms that enable trainees to safely master their basic diving skills in controlled conditions before progressing to Britain’s Secret Seas.
There is plenty to hold your interest once you’re qualified including spectacular granite cliffs that penetrate crystal clear water to depths of 27m, numerous fascinating wrecks, and masses of fish.
